In today’s fast-paced world of business, its easy to say you are going to do something, but never get around to doing it. I know as a mother of twin toddlers and owner of two businesses, I have an infinite number of items on my to-do list. How’s a girl to get it all done?
Here’s how to take your ideas and turn them in to results:
1.) Write down your goals. Simply by writing them down, you are much more likely to follow-through.
2.) Get to work and set a deadline. Give yourself a due-date and don’t put off starting. The sooner you get to work, the more likely your goals will become reality!
3.) Visualize the goal and all the steps you need to take. Setting clear objectives is key. Detail the steps you need to take in order to get results.
4.) Set SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time-sensitive) goals. Ask yourself if your goal meets this criteria to make certain you have covered all your basis before you start.
5.) Set the bar just a little higher. Setting goals just outside your comfort zone will allow you to grow and stretch just a littler further, learn more and accomplish big!!
6.) Measure along the way. Check in with yourself along the way and see your progress. Have mini-goals within one large goal so it is broken down into achievable portions. If something isn’t working, examine why and regroup, then move forward.
